-Doyle Boston Sailmakers would like to congratulate the following
Doyle Customers on their victories.
Wally
Hogan and crew from Toronto Ontario sailed Trumpeter to an
impressive 9-point win the C&C 99 fleet. Wally chartered
the boat for Key West Race Week and was impressed with the
One Design fleet that C&C put together. Wally owns a J-35,
(Jake), in Toronto and uses Doyle Boston D4 J-35 sails.
In
the hotly contested PHRF 5 class, Louis Gonzalez and his crew
on K2, sailed their way into the winners circle winning by
6 points. K2 uses a Doyle Boston Designed D4 Carbon/Twaron
Mainsail and Doyle Ploch designed Carbon Genoas.
For
the 2nd Year in a row Bill Buckles and crew aboard Liquor
Box did not have to race the last day as they had wrapped
the series up the day before. Just one more excellent result
in the T-10 fleet for Bill and crew as well as Doyle T-10
One Design sails.
Team
Circus a J-30 from Chicago finished with a 7-point lead in
PHRF 11. Team Circus uses all Doyle Sails and credits the
new D4 Genoa as a huge part of their success at Key West Race
Week.
Congrats
to each team and thank you for being great customers!
Next
on the Southern Circuit is the St. Pete NOOD regatta. Doyle
Boston will be out there sailing in both the S2 7.9 Class
and also the Ultimate 20 class. The U-20 class has just opened
the doors for all sailmakers to be involved. Since the rule
change both Doyle Boston Lofts have been involved in a sail-testing
program to bring. Brad Boston has purchased interest in a
U-20 with long time customer and former S2 7.9 National Champion
Horace Holland. The two will be teaming up for the NOOD and
are looking forward to showcasing the Doyle Boston U-20 sails
in their first major regatta.
Spike
Boston will be there sailing aboard Frequent Flyer with his
partner Mike Bremer. In the S2 fleet Doyle Boston Sails have
dominated over the last few seasons and as a result you will
see lots of DB logos on the racecourse in St. Pete.
If
you are in St. Pete and would like to stop by and meet the
team please feel free to do so! Both Spike and Brad will be
more than willing to answer any questions that you have.
